Make sure you have enabled 2-Step Verification and App Passwords for your Google account2 before proceeding with the following steps:
- Go to SRM > Control Panel > Notification > Email.
- Tick the checkbox of Enable email notifications.
- Fill in the Recipients and Subject prefix.
- Set the Service provider to Custom SMTP server.
- Fill out the required fields according to the instructions below:
- SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
- SMTP port: 587
- Authentication required: Tick the checkbox.
- Username: Enter your Gmail address.
- Password: Enter your 16-character app password configured in your Google account.
- Secure connection (SSL/TLS) is required: Tick the checkbox.
- Sender name: Enter a name as you like. This will appear on SRM email notifications.
- Sender email: Enter your Gmail address. Note that if the Sender email differs from the Username above, your emails may be marked as spam.
- Save the settings and wait for SRM to connect to your Google account.
- Click Send a Test Email to see if the settings are correct.
